Platform Engineer/DBA

Localização: Remote position for Brazil or Portugal developers
Modelo de Trabalho: PJ Contracting - up to 107 R$ per hour.

Global retail/fashion/luxury group seeks a Platform Engineer/DBA with a DevOps mindset to join their NoSQL database team. This role manages database environments, optimizes performance, and develops innovative solutions for infrastructure, stability, maintenance, deployment, and security. Collaboration with development teams is key. The team manages 1000+ VMs across 150+ Cassandra/MongoDB clusters.

About the Project:
• Design and implementation of data-driven initiatives, such as the development of Big Data analysis applications and architecture using Spark and GCP;
• Responsible for the complete product lifecycle - modeling, backend system design, implementation, A/B testing, and deployment;
• Collaboration in a team environment, involving roles such as engineers, product managers, data scientists, and operations.

Mandatory Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering;
• Experience with databases, distributed systems, and concurrency;
• Experience in developing REST APIs;
• Experience with Cloud IaaS (e.g., AWS);
• Experience with data pipelines;
• Fluent in English.

Nice to Have:
• Experience in the digital media/advertising industry;
• Experience with Airflow.
